About
Andrew Dubber was born in Auckland and moved to Birmingham in 2004.
As far as job titles go, he’s a Knowledge Transfer Fellow in Online Music and Radio Innovation at the Interactive Cultures Research Laboratory and Senior Lecturer in the Music Industries at *Birmingham
City University*.
He runs a website called New Music Strategies, where he gives advice to independent musicians and music businesses, and attempt to explain the online environment as it changes everything for the music industries.
He’s also managing editor of Music Think Tank and New Radio Strategies.
He’s a researcher, educator, public speaker, internet entrepreneur, radio broadcaster, blogger and author. His 20 Things You Must Know About Music Online has been translated into several different languages and the original has been downloaded a quarter of a million times or more.
He has also contributed to numerous textbooks, academic journals, magazines and other publications.
Andrew is on a number of advisory boards for online music businesses, and he does a spot of consultancy too.
